Grace Ministry International Fellowship (GMIF) Established in 2000, GMIF is an international ministry with an Evangelical and Pentecostal distinctive, headquartered in Brownwood, TX (USA). We provide a number of administrative and ministerial services such Ordination for Independent Churches and Ordination of the Ministers of the Gospel.
Credentialing Procedures We offer several distinctive services to Ministers and to churches. Those who require services other than those outlined must request it in writing, to which we will respond. Ordination (Ministerial Credentials) – Fee $ 125 There will be 1 year probation, within the year of evaluation; will be based on covenant giving, and duties assigned by the Presiding Prelate and the Apostolic Cabinet. Your evaluation time frame every 3 months from the date of Ordination (Ordination date is July 20, 2007! Your review is October 20th, January 20th, April 20th and final review July 20, 2008). Your duties will be given the day of Ordination. If you do not meet the requirements given, your Ordination will be revoke immediately. See below Credentials! Further elaboration of GMIF Credentialing process is outline in sections below. Ordination (Ministerial Credentials) Ordination is a formal authority to perform all ministry functions for an indefinite period of time. These functions include Preaching and Teaching the Word, Holy Communion, Wedding, Funerals, etc. Note: Each state has their own legal requirements involving in the officiating of weddings in the USA and International countries. So it is important to contact your local government/council authority or speak to GMIF Apostolic Cabinet member for direction. Ordinations are contingent base upon your service to Grace Ministries International Fellowship, your community and current church affiliation. Your Ordination becomes permanent after 1-year of evaluation by the Apostolic Cabinet. Which means that we are fully satisfied that God has laid His hands upon the individual for a lifetime of service, and we have no real questions about their ministry. It means we are satisfied that the individual has proved his or her calling into the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace Ministries International Fellowship may offer a 2-year Provisional Ministerial License instead, to those who do not fully meet the requirements for Ordination or who still need a further time probation to prove their ministry. There will be continual assessment throughout the time the person is licensed as a Minister. Credentials maybe revoked if there is serious moral, sexual, financial or other misdemeanor committed by the Minister (Bishop/Pastor/Apostle/Prophet/Evangelist), and other reparative measures do not seem sufficient. If you fulfill all or most of the following criteria, you are likely to be approved for Ordination: Personal · You have accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior· You are at least 30 years old at the time of application· You have a healthy marriage, family life and must be single· You have a good record of meeting all your financial obligations· You are not an illegal immigrant or law breakerMinistry You fully understand the specific meaning of the call into Christian Ministry You have a genuine call into the governmental five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11) You fulfill the Pauline criteria for ministry set out in 1 Timothy 3 You have been in full-time ministry for at least 3 years You have started or planted a local church You have completed a formal course of training at an approved Bible College You fully understand the requirements and demands of being in ministry Application You have had a personal interview via teleconference or telephone with the Presiding Prelate Bishop L. Stephenson and the Apostolic Cabinet. You have submitted a GMIF Credentials Application Form. Your spouse is in full agreement with your application for credentials You are in full agreement with GMIF Doctrinal Statement You are able to provide good ministerial references from 3 reputable ministers Your church or ministry has submitted to GMIF a written recommendation for your Ordination You have had a GMIF Apostolic Cabinet representatives visit your church or ministry at least twice. Probation There is 2-year probation for applicants or ministers not well known to GMIF. There is a lesser probation period of about 12 months for those with whom we are well acquainted. During the probation period, there will be a number of meetings between you and your GMIF Apostolic Cabinet Supervisor/Mentor, normally for update and mentoring. In addition, there will be a number of visits to your church or ministry, some of which will be impromptu.
Application Fees $125 is payable as follows. The application fee for ordination is $25, which is non-refundable. This must be paid along with the complete Application for Credentials form. Once approved, the balance of $100 needs to be paid, making the total fee of $125. The balance of $100 can be paid by Cashiers Check, Money Orders and Cash; NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED! All fees must be paid in full prior to or at the Convocation; the agreed date for the Ordination service. All fees are payable to "Grace Ministries International Fellowship" PO Box Shreveport, Louisiana Ordination Service If satisfactory, you will be advised of when your probation period is scheduled to commence and likely to be completed, and when you will be ready for Ordination. The Ordination Ceremony will take place at GMIF Convocation each year. For the Ordination service to be done at another location must be approved by the Apostolic Cabinet; you/church are responsible for all financial obligations. Those being granted a Ministerial License will also take part in such a ceremony. After Ordination, the minister may then begin to use the title "Reverend". However this title may not be used by those who are only given a Ministerial License.
Appointments Grace Ministry International Fellowship works on an appointments system, particularly in relation to Ordination applications. For instance, initial enquirers regarding Ordination will normally be asked to attend an initial appointment before a Credential application form is given/sent. A number of appointments will then be arranged by your GMIF Supervisor/Mentor (a Member of the Apostolic Cabinet). Once your application for Ordination is under consideration, you may also request an appointment from time to time to update us on the progress of or new developments in your life and ministry.
